Year 3 started their new topic in science today under the topic of Animals including Humans. To kickstart it, we looked at the nutrients humans need and what foods provide these. The children did their own research using the key vocabulary of nutrients and discovered themselves what these do for our bodies. Well done!

The children in Year 3 completed an activity known as 'taking your pencil for a walk.' This allows them to create a piece of abstract art, however, within this we wanted the children to explore using line and shape to express certain emotions within their piece. It's brilliant to hear the children talk so confidently about the lines their using and what emotions they are representing and feeling good about having different thoughts to their peers.

In History in Year 2, we have jumped back to 1666 and our last topic, the Great Fire of London. To introduce us to our new topic of Healthcare Heroes, we investigated what medicine used to be like at this time. We had a range of artefacts to look at and help us investigate what it may have been like.

The Inclusion Team would like to signpost the next programme of Support Groups for Herts parents & carers from ADD-Vance. These are available to book on Eventbrite.
ADD-vance runs regular support groups which provide an opportunity for you to meet other local parents and discuss individual concerns with two specialist ADD-vance coaches. We welcome parents and carers who have a formal diagnosis for their child, as well as those who do not have a formal diagnosis but would like to learn more about neurodiversity.
Register for your place here: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/cc/support-groups-86649
