Year 5 Hazard Alley

Dear Year 5 Parents,
This year, we have arranged a trip to Hazard Alley Safety Centre in Milton Keynes on Thursday 19th May 2022.
This is an interactive centre where children can experience hazardous scenarios in perfect safety.
The children will be encouraged to identify everyday hazards and develop safe strategies to deal with potential emergencies, changing their behaviour to keep themselves and others safe.
We will also be attending an additional workshop, that will focus on Internet Safety, which will teach the children how to keep their personal information safe, recognise the risks when using the internet and explore how and why young people are cyber-bulled.
If you are aware of any incident in your childs’ life which may be relevant regarding an adverse reaction to any of these scenarios, could you please let us know.
All children will need a healthy packed lunch, drink and water bottle for the trip. School uniform must be worn and all pupils are requested to wear trousers for this trip.
The cost of the trip, including transport and admission fees is £22.15 per child.
Parental consent and payment is now requested using our on-line payment system. www.schoolgateway.com This needs to be completed by Thursday 5th May 2022.
Children will need to be at school by 8.30am on this day and will return slightly later than normal school pick up time. We are expecting them about 3.45pm, depending on traffic and collection will be from their classroom.
If your child suffers from travel sickness, please also notify us prior to the trip as medication forms need to be completed prior to the trip. Travel sickness medication must come in its’ original packaging with dosing amount. Forms are available from the school office.
Payment for activities taking place during the school day is considered a voluntary contribution. However, we must emphasise that if all parents do not contribute this amount, the trip may not go ahead. In cases of financial difficulty, please contact Mrs Wheeler to discuss payment options.
Yours sincerely
Mrs Chappell & Miss Marie
