Dear Year 1 Parents,
Waddesdon Manor
On Tuesday 24th March, we have arranged an exciting trip to enhance our topic for Year 1 for this
term of Science.
At Waddesdon Manor we will be taking part in their 'Garden Explorers' workshop where the children
will use the story of ‘The Very Hungry Caterpillar’ to investigate bugs and their lifecycles.
The cost per child will be £14.90, which includes workshop fees, insurance and transportation
costs.
All children will need to wear school uniform and bring along a packed lunch, waterproof coat, and
water bottle in a small rucksack. Please dress for the weather as we will be outside for most of
the day, so please ensure they have sensible footwear (eg wellies or walking boots) to ensure they
keep warm.
If you would prefer school to supply a school packed lunch for this trip, we can do this, as a part of
UiFSM. Please enter your childs’ choice of “Tuna”, or “Cheese” in the comment section on the
School Gateway for their choice of sandwich by Tuesday 10th March as we will need to order the
food in advance from Herts Catering. After this date, you will be required to provide a packed
lunch for the trip.
For this trip your child will need to be in school by 8.40 and will be back by normal pick up time.
